Español: Placa que señala el sitio donde existió el cerro "El Imposible" el cual fue demolido por órdenes de Don Benito Pérez Valdelomar, entonces gobernador de Yucatán en 1800. Para conmemorar dicha proeza, se colocó esta placa conmemorativa. Consta de cuatro piezas: la de arriba ostenta la imagen de un ángel sosteniendo una trompeta y una rama, la de enmedio dice "FAMA QUOQUE NOMINIS EIUS CRESCEBAT QUOTIDIE ET PER CUNCTORUM ORA UOLIBAT ESTHER CAP.9 VERS.4 (su fama iba por todas las provincias, Ester 9:4) LAPIS DE PARIETE CLAMABIT HABACUC C.2 V.11 (la piedra clamará desde el muro, Habacuc 2:7) LAPIS ISTE ERIT VOBIS IN TESTIMONIUM IOSUE C.24 V.17 (he aquí esta piedra nos servirá de testigo, Josué 24:27)", la de abajo "VER[SI]ON PARAFRASTICA EN S[ANTISI]MO LAPIDARIO. PARA PERPETUA MEMORIA DE PEREZ VALEDOMAR QU[E] LA VIDA ES TRANCITORIA (transitoria) AUN LAS PIEDRAS HAN DE HABLAR DE SU NOMBRE FAMA Y GLORIA", a la izquierda del conjunto un bloque con la incripción "CALLE DEL IMPOCIBLE (imposible) Y CE (se) BENCIO (venció)". |
