Description
Français : Saint-Gilles (Gard, Languedoc, France), château d'Espeyran, dans les écuries, la sellerie. La balance est utilisée dans l'attelage à quatre chevaux et est composée d'un maître-palonnier et de deux petits palonniers; le maître-palonnier est relié à la tête du timon et les petits aux traits des chevaux de tête.
English: Saint-Gilles (Gard, Languedoc, France), Espeyran castle, in the stables, the tack room. The balance is used in the four horses carriage and is composed of a master-rudder and two small rudders; the master-rudder is connected to the head of the drawbar and the little ones to the traces of the leading horses.
