Description
Català: Escut del Consell preautonòmic del País Valencià:
«1er. L'emblema o símbol del Consell del País Valencià es constitueix amb l'heràldica del Rei Pere II, de València, símbol que és el més antic conegut del Regne de València.
2on. L'emblema es descriu així:
1) Escut inclinat cap a la dreta, d'or, amb quatre pals rojos.
2) Timbre: Elm de plata; mantellet que en penja, en blau turquesa, amb la Creu d'Ènnec Aritza en blanc, i folrat de vermell. Per cimera, un drac naixent d'una corona reial medieval, d'or.».
Articles primer i segon del Decret de 17 de juny de 1978 d'aprovació del símbol o emblema del Consell del País Valencià.
Español: Escut del Consejo preautonómico del País Valenciano:
«1.º El emblema o símbolo del Consell del País Valenciano se constituye con la heráldica del Rey Pedro II, de Valencia, símbolo que es el más antiguo conocido del Reino de Valencia.
2.º El emblema se describe así:
1) Escudo inclinado hacia la derecha, de oro, con cuatro palos rojos.
2) Timbre: Yelmo de plata; mantelete que cuelga en azul turquesa, con la Cruz de Íñigo Arista en blanco, i forrado de bermellón. Por cimera, un dragón naciente de una corona real medieval, de oro.».

This file depicts a official symbol of the Valencian Community, Spain (the Flag, the Official Anthem, the Emblem or the Standard of the Generalitat Valenciana). The usage of such symbols is governed by legal restrictions, independent of the copyright status of the depiction shown here. The usage is regulated in Act No. 8-1984, of December 4, of symbols of the Valencian Community and their use. Some of the restrictions are:
  • It is not allowed to place on the Flag, or on the Standard, symbols or acronyms of political parties, unions, business organizations or similar organizations (Article 13).
  • The Emblem can only be used in the buildings and establishments of the Generalitat, official media in which the laws of the Valencian Corts are published, diplomas and titles issued by the Generalitat, documents, forms, stamps and letterheads for official use by the Generalitat, official publications, badges used by authorities of the Generalitat, representative objects of official use and other cases regulated by regulations (Articles 16 and 17).

Some of the exceptions are:

  • Corporations with distinctive symbols that coincide with those of the Valencian Community can maintain them (art. 11).
