Descripción: Escudo de la ciudad de Purchena (Almería). Debido a la participación de esta localidad en la Guerra de las Alpujarras, cuando llegó a convertirse en capital de las tropas moriscas de Aben Humeya, Felipe II cortó las alas del águila bicéfala.
