«Escudo de plata. Un olivo de sinople surmontado del anagrama "AM" de azur. Bordura de azur, con tres flores de lis de oro, una en cada cantón del jefe y otra en punta. Al timbre corona real cerrada». Significado del Escudo: La flor de lis es una representación de la flor de lirio. Es una de las cuatro figuras más populares de los emblemas o heráldica, junto con la cruz, el águila y el león. Es muy común desde la Edad Media en toda la cultura occidental. La Iglesia católica usa la flor de lis como símbolo mariano (de la Virgen María) en flor de lis dorada sobre azul, y es uno de los atributos de san José, en cuyo bastón, según dice una leyenda, habrían florecido uno o tres lirios (el brote de José). En ocasiones, también se utiliza como representación de la Santísima Trinidad, debido a los tres pétalos. Tres flores de lis blancas o doradas sobre azul, también representa el escudo de la casa Borbónica en la casa de Francia. El emblema del olivo en raíz en este y otros muchos escudos extremeños, hace referencia histórica al dominio islámico, significando que es un pueblo que dio o da sus frutos en una tierra donde no pueden echar raíces. (paradigma de la expulsión), aunque en este caso en particular de Manchita, la referencia es al lugar concreto donde cuenta la tradición se apareció la Virgen a un pastor de la zona. Por otro lado, las dos letras interpuestas "M" Y "A" (ave María), se trata del anagrama mariano por excelencia, debido al pasado de la localidad con esta tradición tan arraigada de una aparición.
