Español: Escudo de San Pablo Anicano (Puebla, México): Anicano, nombre formado de las radicales mexicas: "atl", agua; "nicán", voz adverbial, aquí, y "ohtli", camino; que significan: “aquí hay camino de agua”; por el camino extendido en gran parte sobre la orilla derecha del río Tizaa, y que conduce a ese lugar (Enciclopedia de los municipios de México).
