[edit]DescriptionErodium crinitum flower4 (15245478392).jpg | Native, warm-season, annual herb to 50 cm tall. Stems are decumbent to ascending and have scattered, long, stiff, white hairs. Basal leaves are more or less palmatisect; lamina are 1.5–4 cm long, 1–3 cm wide, 3-lobed, with the central lobe largest, lobes toothed, surfaces scattered with non-glandular hairs. Flowers are in umbels of usually 2–6; peduncle 2–13 cm long and pedicels 1–3 cm long. Sepals 5, 6–10 mm long, hirsute with long white non-glandular hairs and some very short glandular hairs. Petals 5, are about 10 mm long, blue with white or yellow veins. Fruit are 4.5–6 cm long; mericarps hirsute; awn with 2 glabrous pits and often with folds at base. Flowering is from July to April. Grows in open woodland, grassland and saltbush communities. |
