Description
Español: Ruinas de la ermita de Santiago en la Finca "San Fernando", municipio de Matilla de los Caños del Río, provincia de Salamanca. Estado en enero de 2014. Se encuentra donde estuvo el campo de aviación utilizado por las fuerzas militares en 1936. Inaugurada esta capilla en 1956 para conmmemorar el XX aniversario del nombramiento de Franco como Jefe del Estado, hecho que ocurrió en una caseta de madera sita en el mismo lugar. También se erigió un monolito de granito con el escudo (alas) de la Aviación y una inscripción en la piedra de la base. Aparecen ambos en el sello emitido en Diciembre de 1956 y en el No-do nº 7188.
