Description
Deutsch: Erlangen. Gymnasium (links) in der Oberen Karlstraße 2. Das seit 1745 bestehende Gymnasium befand sich zunächst in der ehemaligen Ritterakademie am Hugenottenplatz, 1828 erfolgte der Umzug in das sogenannte Lange Haus (Theaterstraße 3). 1879 bezog das Gymnasium den Schulneubau auf dem ehemaligen Reformierten Friedhof in der Oberen Karlstraße. Nach dem letzten Umzug in den 1968 fertiggestellten Neubau in der Sebaldusstraße 37 wurde das Gebäude in der Oberen Karlstraße abgerissen. Hier entstand 1970-74 der Neubau der Universitätsbibliothek.
