Erechthéion. Façade est.3 - Cette épreuve appartient à la seconde campagne photographique des ruines de l'Acropole menée par l'auteur en 1882 (photographie n°51a. dans l'album intitulé Athènes). La prise de vue permet d'apprécier l'élégance de l'ordre ionique attique parvenu à maturité dans la façade est de l'Erechthéion. La colonne nord ainsi que son entablement ont été prélevés par les agents de Lord Elgin en 1801. En outre, le cadrage choisi, avec la colonnade est parallèle au plan de la photographie, met en relief les deux blocs placés sur l'architrave. |
