Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Eppleworth Grange, Eppleworth, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
The only information I have on Eppleworth Grange is what can be gleaned from historic maps. [1] The land surrounding the house at Eppleworth Grange was apparently shaped by the digging of numerous chalk pits and was landscaped into a park with a substantial summer house by 1855. At some point between 1911 and 1927 the estate was broken up into smaller properties including Grange Farm, West Cottage, East Cottage, and possibly also Stackyard Farm, Hind's House Farm and White House Farm. The house itself (now much extended at the back) was split between West Cottage and Grange Farm, with a fence leading from Westfield Road right up to the front door. Roof tiles in two slightly different colours show where the house has been divided up.
