Description
Deutsch: Epigenetische Mechanismen werden von mehreren Faktoren und Prozessen beeinflusst, darunter die Entwicklung im Mutterleib und in der Kindheit, Umweltchemikalien, Medikamente und Arzneimittel, Alterung und Ernährung. DNA-Methylierung tritt auf, wenn durch Methylgruppen, ein epigenetischer Faktor, der in Nahrungsquellen vorkommen kann, DNA markiert und Gene aktiviert oder unterdrückt werden. Histone sind Proteine, um die sich DNA zur Verdichtung und Gen-Regulierung winden kann. Eine Histonmodifikation tritt auf, wenn sich durch die Bindung epigenetischer Faktoren an Histon-“Enden“ das Ausmaß verändert, zu dem DNA um Histone gewickelt ist und damit die Verfügbarkeit von aktivierbaren Genen in der DNA. All diese Faktoren und Prozesse können sich auf die Gesundheit von Menschen auswirken und ihre Gesundheit beeinflussen, was unter anderem zu Krebs, Autoimmunerkrankungen, psychischen Störungen oder Diabetes führen kann.
