Giuseppe Zirpolo ha raffigurato, nel disegno, un piccolo esemplare di ippocampo, pescato nel Golfo di Napoli nel 1939, che portava, aderenti dalla regione interna della parte più attorcigliata della coda fino alla regione basale del corpo, i rami striscianti di un idrozoo, l’O. geniculata. |
