Beim Inselfest kam die Dampflok der Papierfabrik zum Einsatz. Diese pendelte mit zwei von der Bundesbahn ausgeliehenen Personenwagen zwischen dem Fabrikgelände und dem Bahnhof Baienfurt. Mit von der Partie war natürlich auch ein Landwirt mit Gaisbock. Etwa auf Höhe des Pförtnerhauses war eine Gleissperre (Gs) angebracht, die ein unkontrolliertes Fortrollen von Wagen aus der Fabrik verhindern sollten. Der Pflichtbewusste Pförtner, der GS wurde von ihm fernbedient, hat diese nach jeder Fahrt geöffnet. Bei einer Fahrt wurde der Abfahrtspfiff gegeben, der Zug setze sich kurz in Bewegung. Rums-Kr, Rums-Kr, schon stand der Umbauwagen mit einem Drehgestell neben dem Gleis. Dieses mal wurde vergessen, den GS zu öffnen. Nach fragenden Gesichtern und kurzer Beratung rollte der Bagger an, der den Wagen wieder auf Gleis setze. Ich bin mir ziemlich sicher, dass eine offizielle Stelle niemals von der Entgleisung erfahren hat. |
