Summary
[edit]DescriptionEntering the Castro district, San Francisco (31984322697).jpg |
Seen here looking South at the crossing with Market Street. This area in San Francisco, was one of the first gay neighborhoods in the United States and still has a high proportion of LGBT residents. At the middle-left of the picture you see the sign for the Castro Theatre, which is a Historic Landmark. It also hosted the world premiere of the film "Milk" which told the story of the assassinated politician of that name - starring Sean Penn. Much of the film related to this area and was filmed here. |
