Description
English: It is an English translation of the "Loiyumpa Silyel", an 11th-12th century Classical Meitei language written constitution of early Kangleipak civilization (early Manipur realm), enacted during the reign of Meitei King Loiyumpa (Loiyumba). Other spellings of the text are the Loiyumba Sinyen or the Loyumpa Silyel (Modern Meitei: "Loyumba Sinyen") or the Loiyumpa Shilyel (Modern Meitei: "Loiyumba Shinyen") or the Loyumpa Shilyel (Modern Meitei: "Loyumba Shinyen") or the Loyamba Sinyen (Ancient Meitei: "Loyampa Sinyen") or the Loyamba Shinyen (Ancient Meitei: "Loyampa Shinyen").

It is translated (from Ancient Classical Meitei language) and transliterated (from traditional Meetei Mayek writing system) with annotations by Konsam Manikchand Singh. It is "in public domain" as mentioned in the archive.org source.

It is one of the most important historical documents of Meitei / Meetei / Manipuri / Meithei / Kanglei / Poirei culture and society.
