Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Engine house and train, Threlkeld Quarry

A disused granite quarry has been adapted to become the Threlkeld Quarry and Mining Museum LinkExternal link.

The train takes visitors on a short trip up a rebuilt narrow gauge track to the inner quarry. From the train you can see some of the large collection of vintage excavators and other old machinery which is now kept in the quarry.
