Description

After the 2014 parade, I stepped into Celebrities and felt their energy. One could feel the music welling up through the vibrating floor. Could make some folks seasick. The sound overloaded my camera mike. Celebrities was even rocking before 5pm as crowds flowed in from the bustling streets. Around 600,000 people are estimated to attend gay pride in Vancouver, BC. Plenty of crowd to fuel the energy.

It felt kind of funny to walk back out into blazing afternoon sunshine. Most people think of dance clubs as being nighttime things, but during gay pride, there's plenty of enthusiasm throughout the day.

Energy feels good whether it's dancing or the biking I did getting up to Canada from Bellingham. This energetic piece of music is sometimes played toward the climax (what they sometimes call "Chaos") of ecstatic dance which I attend in Bellingham. Can be an enjoyable way to stay in shape.

Back in 2012, I visited the same place. They did some remodeling in the intervening years. At first, I thought I liked the old look better with the chandlers, but the new look catches on. Jellyfish and they sure make a show with the lights.
