Description
English: Todd Cazallis (left) of the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center, explains the ins and outs of the XM400 ASP Auxiliary Power System to fellow exhibitor Richard Parsons (center) of EnerSys while TARDEC's A. David Stormer fields additional questions June 8 during the Renewable Energy Rodeo and Symposium held in and around the Centennial Banquet and Conference Center at Fort Bliss, Texas, taking place through June 9. The compact unit is designed to help sevice members manage power more efficiently from Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles. The inaugural event is designed to help spread the ideas, tools and innovations ready to make Fort Bliss the Army's Center for Renewable Energy. The symposium presented a variety of energy technology demonstrations, several discussion panels and dozens of exhibitors, including General Dynamics Land Systems, Lockheed Martin, General Electric, Raytheon, Polaris Defense Industries, 3M Defense, Honeywell and others. The U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center co-hosted the symposium.
