Summary
[edit]DescriptionEndcliffe Hall Sheffield 2017-11-09 (86).JPG | Ornamental carved stone label mould by Mawer and Ingle on the exterior of Endcliffe Hall, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. The building was designed by Flockton and Abbot for Sir John Brown (1816-1896), and erected 1863-1865. This ornament features a sea shell, sea-monster wings, acanthus leaves arranged like waves, and two parrots. This could possibly represent overseas trade, since Brown began his career in buying and selling. | ||
