[edit]DescriptionEnd of truncated Dudley Canal, 1987 - geograph.org.uk - 1652530.jpg |
English: End of truncated Dudley Canal near Hawne Basin, 1987, looking back from the very effective bar to further navigation, a steel bridge with one end dropped into the canal. Originally this No 2 Line of the Dudley Canal continued another 5 miles through Lapal Tunnel to connect with the Worcester and Birmingham Canal, but the tunnel was closed by persistent mining subsidence. |
