Summary

[edit]
Description
English: View northeast along the Aln Valley Railway towards the current eastern buffer stop (centre) just beyond Greenrigg Halt (out of shot to the left), which marked the then temporary eastern terminus. Immediately beyond the buffer stop can be seen Edenhill Bridge, which carries a public road and, hence, the AVR cannot extend beneath it until obtain a Transport and Works Act Order. Beyond it, the trackbed has remained disused since the original line closed in 1968.
