Description
English: Plaque dedicated to Ems Ukraz in Bad Ems.

Text of the upper plaque: VIER TÜRME Erbaut 1696 als Adelssitz und Logierhaus. Im 19. Jh. wohnten hier u. a. Carl Maria von Weber und Zar Alexander II. von Rußland.

Text on the lower plaque: Am 30. Mai 1876 unterschrieb der russische Zar Alexander II. in diesem Haus den Emser Erlass, der auf die Unterdrückung der ukrainischen Kultur durch das Verbot von Druckschriften und Aufführungen in ukrainischer Sprache gerichtet war.
