Topic: Journalism, Scientific Local number: SIA Acc. 90-105 [SIA2009-2153] Summary: As she was growing up in Washington, D.C., Emma Reh (1896-1982) contributed many prize-winning essays and drawings to local newspapers, foreshadowing a lifelong interest in communication. She joined the staff of Science Service around 1924 and continued as a frequent contributor throughout the 1930s, reporting on archeological excavations in Mexico, as well as the social and political situation in that country.
