Summary
[edit]DescriptionEmission from the HD191089 debris disk (geminiann10016a).jpg |
English: 18 micron emission from the HD191089 debris disk measured using T-ReCS on Gemini South. The disk is extended at a position angle 80° east of north. The east side is 20% brighter than the other, suggesting the presence of a planet, and the central 28AU is nearly empty of emitting dust. The star has been subtracted from the center of the image, with the brightest emission plotted as red. (1 arcsecond corresponds to approximately 54AU at the distance of HD191089.) |
