Emilius Oviatt Randall (10/28/1850-12/18/1919) was born to David Austin Randall and Harriet Eunice (Oviatt) Randall in Richfield, Ohio. Emilius Oviatt Randall's career included: bookstore owner 1875-92, attorney, OSU faculty member 1893-1909, and Supreme Court Reporter 1895-1919. While Secretary of the Ohio Historical Society, 1894-1919, Randall wrote many important Ohio histories. He served on the Columbus Metropolitan Library Board of Trustees 1886-1919. Randall married Mary A. Coy on October 28, 1874 in Ithaca, New York. They had three children: Rita (born September 6, 1881), David A. (August 16, 1883), and Sherman Bronson (January 13, 1885). |
