Description Emerson Street is the main road of Napier, although it's less a road than a pedestrian thoroughfare now. Along this street you'll find your usual array of NZ stores and lots of cafes. It's a nice place to stroll. Keep looking up, above the street level fronts of the buildings and you will see much of Napier's famous Art Deco architecture.
