| Description |
English: Emergency telephone, Shippards Chine car park This yellow emergency telephone is alongside the public conveniences at Shippards Chine car park. The instructions on the green board say that you are at Hanover Point, although the actual coastline prominence is a short distance away to the south-east. Just beyond the wall is the tarmac of Military Road, the main road along the south-west coast of the Isle of Wight. The hill in the background is Compton Down, a chalk ridge. |
