| Description | This is the small part of Emerald Lake that is cut off by a small bridge providing access to the Emerald Lake Lodge. The view goes to the southwest towards Mount Burgess, a 2,599 m (8,527 ft) high mountain in the Canadian Rockies, and, like Emerald Lake, part of Yoho National Park. Emerald Lake is one of the majour tourist attractions. It was late in the afternoon, but there was absolutely no space at the Emerald Lake car park. Just like hundreds of others, we had to park the car a few kilometers down on the shoulder of the access road. During high season, it is obviously not advisable to visit Emerald Lake after 8 a.m. and before 7 p.m. |
