English: Emanuel Zamai, a member of the Afghan Uniformed Police(AUP) in the city of Gardez, gets a fire started for U.S. Army scouts from Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Battalion, 509th Infantry Regiment, Task Force Spartan, who walked through the night in minus 4-degree temperatures to assist the AUP on a presence patrol through Paktia province, Afghanistan, Feb. 16, 2012. The AUP provided the room for the scouts to rest in for a couple of hours before heading out into the city. |
