Summary

Description

At Toshogu shrine, visitors can buy wooden plaques called "ema". People write their wishes on the boards and set them out for the gods to see. Here two people from the same family have written their wishes. They may be siblings as only the last character of their names differs. The older hand asks for health for everyone in the family. The younger hand wishes for strength and to become a fast runner.
