| Description |
English: Elton Farm: Former Lambourn Valley Railway This is the trackbed of the former Lambourn Valley Railway which closed to regular passenger and freight traffic on 4 January 1960, fifty years previously to the day bar one that the photograph was taken. Although in use as a section of the Lambourn Valley Walk the hedges on either side are beginning to encroach onto the straight line of the former railway so that in the far distance only a small tunnel of light now shows the way. |
