Summary
[edit]DescriptionElstow Stream - geograph.org.uk - 407383.jpg |
English: Elstow Stream This stream runs under a small bridge in the village of Elstow. It's a small village with some wonderful old buildings made famous as the birthplace of John Bunyan. He was a cleric who wrote Pilgrims Progress and was placed in Bedford Gaol for his beliefs. A postcard depicting him was sent to Terry Waite when he was held as a hostage in Beruit. Amazingly it arrived and Terry said it was an inspiration to him. |
