Elsie Boyd Lombard was born in Baltimore on November 26, 1869. She became an actress, and at 26 became the second wife of New York Giants' owner John T. Brush. After her husband's death she returned to her theater roots, appearing on stage in matronly roles into the early 1930s. Elsie also served as chairwoman of the Sconset Casino (Nantucket Island) movie committee for many years. She died in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on December 28, 1957.
