English: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Transatlantic Afghanistan District’s Chief of Contract Administration Branch Matt Ellis received the Superior Civilian Service Award from the District commander, Col. Michael Price during a May 16 awards ceremony at Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan.
Ellis, a resident of Omaha, Neb., received the award, signed by the Transatlantic Division commander Maj. Gen. Michael Eyre, for exceptional meritorious service to the District, from December 15, 2013 to June 14, 2014 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. During his tenure, Ellis was responsible for standing up the Contract Administration Branch, improving Reachback data, and improving processes for contract closeout.
