Someone shouts, Post the Guards, and from no place in particular arisespectral visitors that talk in low monotones near the doorways, while the white of each pair of eyes can beseen searching the adjoining corridors, and their ears are held close to catch even the faintest sound. The jingle of coin arises from the group that is gathered in the middle of the room. Not a loud jingle,but an audible one, as the blanket half kills the joy of the game. However, though the voices be low, thethrill of the game grows in volume, until the guards forget to watch, and gather around the central group.All is joy. Come awn, Red! Oh, Sweetie! Advance Eight and Be Recognized! A Flock of Fours! Be MyMamma! Honey Seven! Come You Natural! What Ho! Richard the Elder! Little Joe! You will all sit just where you are and give me your names Hell!
