Description
English: Elgin Cathedral Ruined by the removal of the lead in 1568, which was to be sold. The lead

was then shipped at Aberdeen for Holland; but soon after the ship left the river it sunk. Being uncovered the Cathedral then fell to decay, too expensive

to be kept in repair.
