[edit]DescriptionEleven wounded warriors returned to Iraq through Operation Proper Exit DVIDS292560.jpg |
English: Sgt. Justin Pullen, from La Porte, Texas, tries on an explosive ordanance device suit as he and ten other wounded warriors travel to Basrah, Iraq where they visited with service members June 15, 2010. The wounded warriors spent the week, June 12-16, touring Iraq, visiting the sites where they had been injured, and taking time to meet with troops to talk about their experiences. The operation provided the opportunity for injured veterans to also see the overall progress that has been made in country since their deployed service. The goal is to provide closure for their traumatic experience and give them the chance to exit Iraq on their own terms. |
