[edit]DescriptionEleven wounded warriors returned to Iraq through Operation Proper Exit DVIDS292550.jpg |
English: Staff Sgt. Jerald Majetic, from St. Augustine, Fla., last deployed with the 304th Psychological Operations Company pets a military working dog after the eleven wounded warriors watched a demonstration by the military working dogs and their trainers in Basrah, Iraq, where they visited with service members June 15, 2010. The wounded warriors spent the week, June 12-16, touring Iraq, visiting the sites where they had been injured, and taking time to meet with troops to talk about their experiences. The operation provided the opportunity for injured veterans to also see the overall progress that has been made in country since their deployed service. The goal is to provide closure for their traumatic experience and give them the chance to exit Iraq on their own terms. |
