[edit]DescriptionEleven Wounded Warriors Returned to Iraq Through Operation Proper Exit DVIDS292510.jpg |
English: Staff Sgt. Jerald Majetic, from St. Augustine, Fla., last deployed with the 304th Psychological Operations Company, leans up against a medical evacuation helicopter as eleven wounded warriors visit with pilots and check out static displays of MEDEVAC, Apache, and Kiowa aircrafts, June 13, 2010. The wounded warriors spent the week, June 12-16, touring Iraq, visiting the sites where they had been injured, and taking time to meet with troops to talk about their experiences. The operation provided the opportunity for injured veterans to also see the overall progress that has been made in country since their deployed service. The goal is to provide closure for their traumatic experience and give them the chance to exit Iraq on their own terms. |
