These glistening white cords spread out into a fanshape at the end where the muscle attaches to it. Thisglistening white cord passes over the wrist or ankle, downto the hand or foot, where it is attached to the bone, andthrough this tendon the muscle can move the hands andfeet, with their fingers and toes. Muscles are generallyattached to the bones at each end, and use the bones asaids to accomplish their work. The bones serve as levers.
