Hoort bij dit artikel (rudimenten spoorlijnen Boekelo–Enschede). Locatie 8: Lang recht stuk ten zuiden van de havens.

In de verte is de toren van de Sint-Jozefkerk van 1894 te zien. De eerste machinisten zullen gezien moeten hebben in de eerste jaren van de spoorlijn hoe deze toren, waar ze later altijd recht op afreden, steeds hoger werd. Links enkele zouthuisjes.
