The Aveightof the instrument complete is 5^ pounds. The ebonite plug with metal terminals fits into a recess in the sideof the case as shown in photograph. The buzzer is used as a call when it is desired to use the insti-umentas a telephone set. For use on field lines with ground return, connect line to bindingpost D L and the ground connection to E (fig. 66). For use on grounded telegraph lines, connect line to binding post( Z., ground to E. The circuits may be classified as follows: Primaiy circuit Telpgraph. Secondary circuit Telegraph.
