ar August 3. 1907. ELECTRIC RAILWAY REVIEW 127 type. Trains will be handled by a telephone system, usingStromberg-Carlson instruments, both in the stations and onthe cars. This telephone system will be supplemented by atelegraph line, and normally all train orders will be tele-graphed to the station agents, who will deliver them to theconductors. Rolling Stock.The initial rolling stock equipment of the Ocean ShoreRailway will comprise 30 combination passenger cars, 60 feet feed pumps with adjusters and oil release valves. Goubertvertical oil heaters, pressure gauges and thermometers, and aSpencer automatic damper regulator will also be provided.The oil supply will be stored in one 28,000-barrel and two1,000-barrel capacity oil tanks. The oil feed pipe will befitted with a Worthington oil meter, by which the amount offuel used can be determined accurately. These cars are being built by W. H. Holman &Co. of San Francisco. The trucks of the Master Gar Builderstype were built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works, and thesewill carry two GE-66 motors, with type M control. The West-inghouse Traction Brake Company will equip the cars with itsNo. 3 electric brake. Each car will have a General Electricpneumatically operated pantagraph trolley. The interior and exterior arrangement and some of thedetails of construction of the cars are shown by accompanyingline drawings. Power House, Substations and Car Barns.
