Illustrations on pages 411 and 414exhibit the general dimensions of the Seventy-seventh streetcar house, illustrate its type of fireproof construction andshow its relation to the nearby shop buildings. The second story of the north bay at the rear has beenespecially designed for the accommodation of the car houseemployes. The space is divided into a locker room fittedwith pressed steel lockers, a toilet room and a general room.Tables and benches have been placed in the latter room,making it an attractive place for the men at lunch time. Thecar house foremans office is partitioned off from one cornerof this general room. A Dey time clock, as used at each carhouse, is placed in the large lunch room near the locker room.At the front of this north bay are accommodations for thedivision headquarters of the transportation department.
