| Description |
English: Cars 5 and 6 of the Snaefell Mountain Railway (SMR) on the 3ft6in gauge terminal tracks at Laxey station. The 3ft gauge tracks in the foreground belong to the Manx Electric Railway (MER). The set of points under the nearer car lead to a section of mixed gauge track, used to transfer SMR cars to accommodation bogies, so they can be hauled over the MER to Derby Castle works. This mixed gauge track is illustrated in Dual-gauge track at Laxey (geograph 3148560).jpg. |
