Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Electric Scot at Wigan North Western "Fly Electric Scots" was the marketing slogan for the newly electrified Crewe-Glasgow line in 1974. In 1977, a Glasgow-Birmingham train runs in to Wigan North Western, though featuring distinctly 1960s technology and rolling stock. The Electric Scots have come and gone, but the Swan and Railway pub is, I hope, still going strong.
