| Description |
English: Elder Street Elder Street runs north off Folgate Street and is said to be the most complete remaining Georgian Street in Spitalfields - even so its conservation area is threatened with redevelopment. Weavers' lofts at roof level, making the most of the natural light. There is nothing very much in this view that would have been any different in the C18. Note bricked-up windows, perhaps to evade taxation. |
