Español: EL TRIPLETE DE LEO.
En la constelación zodiacal de LEO, o del León, se encuentra el llamado “Triplete de Leo” un cúmulo galáctico ubicado en la pata trasera mas cercana a la cola, cuyos componentes principales son las galaxias M65, M66 y NGC 3628. Tiene un diámetro de 38 minutos de arco de grado, correspondiente un poco más del diámetro lunar. Este grupo de galaxias se lo puede resolver en noches claras sin Luna llena y con un pequeño telescopio o unos buenos binoculares. Desde nuestras latitudes (-37º) , la galaxia NGC 3628 se la ve pasar por el meridiano del lugar (culminación) a una altura aproximadamente de 40º y observando hacia el horizonte Norte. Ver la tabla de la hora de paso de la galaxia inserta en la imagen. Esta altura y horario es aproximado para la costa bonaerense y el litoral argentino. |
