Vallcebre és un municipi de la comarca del Berguedà, El Foc de Nuet és una gran foguera que s’encén el dia 24 de desembre quan es fa fosc i per extensió dóna nom a l'activitat que es fa al voltant d'aquest foc. Acabada la Missa del Gall, la gent que ha assistit a la missa i les persones que van expressament al Foc de Nuet, es reuneixen al voltant de la foguera per fer tertúlia i menjar. L’origen del nom és incert, però els historiadors locals el relacionen amb el nom amb la nuesa del nen Jesús (un infant “nuet”) i amb la celebració del seu naixement la nit de Nadal. La tradició d’encendre el Foc de Nuet és molt antiga i la gent del poble recorda que sempre s’ha fet. N'hi ha constància segura des d’abans de la Guerra Civil.
English: El Foc de Nuet is an element included in the inventory of the intangible cultural heritage of the Natural Park of Cadí-Moixeró, an inventory carried out by the Institute of Immaterial Cultural Heritage (IPACIM).
Vallcebre is a municipality in the region of Berguedà, El Foc de Nuet is a large bonfire that is lit on December 24 when it gets dark and by extension gives its name to the activity that takes place around this fire. After the Mass of the Rooster, the people who have attended the mass and the people who go specifically to the Foc de Nuet, gather around the bonfire to socialize and eat. The origin of the name is uncertain, but local historians relate the name to the nakedness of the baby Jesus (a "naked" infant) and to the celebration of his birth on Christmas night. The tradition of lighting the Foc de Nuet is very old and the people of the town remember that it has always been done. There is certain evidence of it from before the Civil War.

Acabada la Misa del Gallo, la gente que ha asistido a la misa y las personas que van expresamente al Foc de Nuet, se reúnen alrededor de la hoguera para hacer tertulia y comida. El origen del nombre es incierto, pero los historiadores locales lo relacionan con el nombre con la desnudez del niño Jesús (un niño “nudo”) y con la celebración de su nacimiento en Nochebuena. La tradición de encender el Foc de Nuet es muy antigua y la gente del pueblo recuerda que siempre se ha hecho. Hay constancia segura desde antes de la Guerra Civil. |
